Constructed in 1896 by the renowned architect George Post, this Neoclassical estate had scarcely survived a hundred years of neglect before given a new lease on life. The first phase was a restoration and renovation of the main residence. The second included various additions and numerous indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate modern lifestyles. Garnished with covered porches and balconies, the renovation included an expanded kitchen area created by constructing a glass-roofed solarium immediately adjacent to the newly remodeled cooking space and a stable style carriage house with barn doors cleverly concealing the garage.
